Rosette stitch (even no. sts):

Row 1 and 3 (RS): Knit.

Rows 2 (WS): *P2tog, leave on needle; K2tog on same 2 sts and slide both off needles; rep from *.

Rows 4 (WS): P1, rep from * of Row 2, end p1.

Note: Rosette Stitch must be worked on needles 1 to 2 sizes larger than your main needle size, to ensure a gauge consistent with Stockinette Stitch. If your Rosette Stitch feels snug compared to your Stockinette, consider going up 2 sizes.
