The Round Cove Cardigan, created for my fall 2014 make. wear. love. sweater retreat, is as classic as it gets. Simple stockinette in a luscious yarn, tiny buttons, and 1x1 ribbing make for a simple, wearable wardrobe staple. It's shown here on Naomi with elbow sleeves, an hourglass silhouette, and an average sweater length - but you can make the cardigan in any silhouette, sleeve length, and sweater length you like. (Naomi is wearing a close hourglass fit.)
However you make it, Round Cove is a piece you’ll wear day in, and day out, for years to come. The sample shown is worked in The Uncommon Thread’s Posh Fingering, which is a delight both to knit and to wear. It’s a lovely, light yarn in beautifully shaded tones made from superwash Bluefaced Leicester, silk and cashmere. (Yum.) It’s shown in color Plata.
